Activities:
1. Tutoring: Free tutoring is an on-going service provided by Alpha Lambda Delta. Members volunteer their time to tutor U of I students who need extra help with their studies. Anna Czaplicki is our current Academic Director, her e-mail address is , [email protected].
2. Outstanding Teacher Award: Alpha Lambda Delta is the only student organization which gives an award at the all-campus Instructional Awards Banquet held each Spring to honor excellent instructors on this campus. As incoming members you nominate a professor and a teaching assistant to receive this honor as well as a monetary stipend. This was established in the 1978-79 year and is well received by the faculty and administration.
3. Philanthropy: Over the years ALD has actively supported campus activities such as blood drives, Relay for Life, VIP program, elementary school tutoring, etc.
This is just a small list of the things all members are encouraged to participate in. All sophomore, junior, and senior members are invited to share in their talents, expertise, and enthusiasm.
